“My dad is dying.” Those were the first words of my very first blog, How to Live Forever on August 27, 2019. It was short, less than 350 words, but in that space, I was able to convey both pain and hope. I didn’t know much about blogging, but I knew I wanted to express myself and inspire others to reach for more in life. More joy. More love. More creativity. More fulfillment. More passion. More purpose. More freedom. I knew I had suffered enough of my own pain to propel me forward without fearing things could get much worse.

So much has changed since then. This is my 104th weekly blog. Now I record The Mind-Blowing Happiness™ Podcast and Facebook’s LIVE with Trish each week. I’ve published three books and launched two websites. I’ve changed careers and work full-time as a writer, coach and speaker. I’ve met and worked with leaders in the field of personal development. I’ve learned and grown in ways I could never have planned or imagined two years ago.

I had a conversation a few weeks ago on Facebook Live about creative career moves. We talked about doing research and getting finances in order but, at some point, you have to take the leap. Fear of making the wrong decision keeps many people stuck in unhealthy relationships, unfulfilling careers and boring routines. I address the topic in detail in my blog, The Uncharted Career. You can also check out my fabulous discussion with life coach and photographer, Robyn Ivy entitled, Creative Career Transition on my YouTube channel.

If life feels unsatisfying, dull or boring, you are the only one with the power to change it. Perhaps you want to be stretched more mentally, physically or creatively. Perhaps you want more downtime to explore hobbies and interests. Maybe you want to commit more energy to personal or romantic relationships. No matter how you feel about your life, you are the hero of your own story. You are the protagonist in this play. So, act like it. Wear the crown. Take a chance. Try something new, and root for yourself to win!

I wish you passion, purpose and the realization of your fullest potential!
